The Merion Village Garden Tour10th Anniversary Sunday July 12The Merion Village Association proudly presents the 10th Annual Garden Tour, Sunday July 12th . Tour hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explore the unique and lovely gardens of Merion Village at your own pace. The event is held rain or shine. Gardens may be visited in any order. There are 10 wonderful gardens this year, ranging from larger more expansive gardens to smaller, more intimate settings. Whether you come to get new ideas for your own garden, to explore the historic streets and homes of Merion Village, or just to the enjoy the day outdoors, you are sure to enjoy this unique, not for profit event. Merion Village residents and neighbors: don’t forget to put your best foot forward. Everyone’s yard gets looked at. The Garden Tour is the most public of all Merion Village events. So it’s important to pay attention to those little special touches which makes the whole neighborhood look great. Please encourage your neighbors to mow and even put out a pretty basket of flowers. Our guests from all over Columbus use our streets, sidewalks and alleys to go from garden to garden. Since it’s inception in 1999, The Merion Village Garden Tour remains FREE to the public, thanks to the continuing generosity of our sponsors and supporting partners. These partnerships have been essential in the development of Merion Village as one of the most diverse and fastest growing neighborhoods in Columbus. Please join us for this annual summer tradition. Bring your family and friends. The Merion Village Information Center at 1330 South Fourth Street will be open on tour day from 9:30 a.m to 4 p.m. Tour maps will be available as well as refreshments and restrooms. Bottled water (donated by Cap Party Supplies) cupcakes (donated by Bakery Gingham) and ice cream (donated by Jenis Splendid Ice Cream) will all be sold, with all proceeds benefiting the Merion Village Association. Our annual plant raffle with plants donated by various local nursery sponsors will take place again. Chances will be sold at select tour sites. All proceeds from the Garden Tour benefit the Merion Village Association and organizations we support, such as the Southwood Elementary PTO and the Southside Learning and Development Center. For those on tour and also all Merion Village Association members, remember our Pre-Tour Brunch is Saturday July 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This has been a delightful tradition and is always great fun. This years host is Dolores Grigsby on Frebis Avenue. This is a great way to meet your neighbors in a beautiful, relaxed setting.
